The automatic adjusting mechanism is provided with a road roller wheel 1, support frames 2, a front air cylinder 4, a front mud scraping board 4, a rear air cylinder 5, a rear mud scraping board 6 and an air cylinder switching control valve, wherein the support frame 2 positioned at the front end of the road roller wheel 1 is provided with the front air cylinder 4, the other end of the front air cylinder 4 is provided with the front mud scraping board 4 which is in expansive contact with the road roller wheel 1, and an inclined angle is formed between the front mud scraping board 4 and the road roller wheel 1; the support frame 2 positioned at the rear end of the road roller wheel 1 is provided with the rear air cylinder 5, the other end of the rear air cylinder 5 is provided with the rear mud scraping board 6 which is in expansive contact with the road roller wheel 1, and an inclined angle is formed between the rear mud scraping board 6 and the road roller wheel 1; the front air cylinder 4 and the rear air cylinder 5 are connected with the air cylinder switching control valve through a pipeline. The automatic adjusting mechanism disclosed by the utility model is very suitable for the batch production or subsequent assembly of the road roller without carrying out any change on an original road roller, has the advantages of simple structure and convenience in manufacture, installation and maintenance, can be used for optionally adjusting the magnitude of the pushing force of the air cylinders according to the using requirement of a user, and can effectively reduce the abrasion of the mud scraping boards to increase the use efficiency of the mud scraping boards.
